Beer Cake

21. december – beerkage!

1 beer

500 g dark muscovadosugar

1 tsp. ground cloves

1 tsp. ground ginger

1 tsp. ground cinnamon

1 tsp. baking soda

2 tsp. liqourice powder (optional)

500 g flour

Mix the beer and the sugar in one bowl, and the rest of the ingredients in another. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet, and pour into a lined tin. Bake for 35-40 minutes, at 175 degrees Celsius, until a skewer comes out clean.

Hardcore Chemistry students use “Limfjordsporter”, others can use regular beer :)
