Resonance stabilized cake

I’m quite the nerd. I study chemistry, and for a cake arrangement, I decided to make a benzene cake, as I had just aquired hexagonal cake tins.

But, benzene, as we (chemists) all know, has two resonance structures (or at least, that’s how we draw it).

So, obviously, I had to bake two cakes (and a little square one, for the arrow) to represent each structure. (yes, nerdy, I know)

The cakes were much enjoyed, by my equally nerdy friends :)
