The english version of my blog has been horribly neglegted lately. The danish site has been up and running, but sometimes it is difficult to find the time to run two blogs simoultaneously. I promise to try harder, so any non-danish readers can enjoy as well. (Is there anybody out there at all?)
Christmas is upon us, and in Denmark this is celebrated on christmas eve, 24. December, where we watch Disneys “from all of us to all of you”, followed by a dinner of duck and pork, potatoes and red cabbage. For dessert a delicoius rice pudding with chopped almonds, and one single whole almond (whoever finds this, gets an extra present).
After dinner we light the christmas tree, and dance around it, before opening presents.
This christmas, Denmark is covered in snow. Luckily, I’m not stuck somewhere unable to get to my destination, as many others are. I am at my parents house, and I can enjoy the beautiful snow, covering the garden, while relaxing inside.
I wish everyone a merry christmas, and a happy new year!
Another danish thing – whipped cream in the hot chocolate, it tastes so good!
