A delicious cake, with a distinct marzipan taste.
240 g butter, room temperature
200 g sugar
200 g finely grated marzipan
300 g flour
2 tsk baking powder
Beat the butter and sugar until fluffy. Add the eggs one at the time, then add the marzipan. Mix flour and baking powder, and add to the batter.
Pour the batter into a greased tin, and bake at 170 degrees Celsius for 30-60 minutes, depending on the tin, until a skewer comes out clean and the cake is golden.
